About

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) is the world’s largest electrical union, representing skilled professionals across the electrical and telecommunications industries. We stand for workers’ rights, safety, and opportunity on every job site.

The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) represents union electrical contractors who are committed to delivering high-quality work—on time, on budget, and backed by a deep investment in their workforce.

Together, IBEW and NECA created a national gold standard for apprenticeship training: the Electrical Training Alliance (formerly the NJATC), established in 1941. This powerful partnership ensures every apprentice receives top-tier education and hands-on experience to meet industry demands and launch a rewarding career.

We don’t just power buildings—we power futures.
